TRANSPORTER: the concept
The Transporter is the result of a simple idea: to transport instead of towing the load.. Compared to the traditional tractor with trailer, the advantages are numerous: transporters are more compact and easier to maneuver, while the perfect distribution of the weight over the axles with full load ensures better traction and stability on steep terrain and more respect for the soil.
From their earliest applications as tractors for high mountain use, transporters have soon adapted to various industrial, agricultural, and even municipal use as a multipurpose off-road vehicle and high-performance tractor.
The range of Caron Transporters features articulated and steering wheel models from 25 to 95 HP with useful load capacities from 2 to 6.5 tons. Caron Transporters can be supplied with or without cab with 1 or 2 seats.
Thanks to the wide range of gears with speeds from 0.4 to 40 km/h these machines are ideal for off-road works under any and all conditions. The unique design of these 4-wheel drive machines features a central joint in the chassis that keeps all 4 wheels constantly adherent on the ground. The addition of low pressure tires minimizes damage to crops and pastures.
All Caron Transporters are equipped with a three-way tipping body and depending on model can be provided with hydraulic distributors, central and rear power take-offs, rear 3-point linkage, and fittings for snow ploughs, cranes, and other traditional tractor’s equipment like spraying nozzles, cutters, and self-loaders, etc.
The chassis with universal 4-point attachments permits the assembly of a wide range of equipment with weights of up to 6 tons. The equipment can be changed in just a few minutes saving precious time and enhancing the optimum use of the vehicle for the highest hourly output.
The strength, elevated off-road load capacity, and the unlimited variety of applicable equipment permit the Transporter to be used anywhere for the most different purposes.
